Facility Use

Rental Policy:

  1. Event requests should be submitted at least three weeks prior to event date.
  2. Rehearsal requests must be submitted seven business days in advance.
  3. Applicant assumes all responsibility of event.
  4. Space is allocated on a first come-first served basis.
  5. CHASS Facilities Management has the right to refuse access to space.
  6.  Changes or additions or changes to event must be submitted via reservation system to CFM.  CFM has the right to accept or deny requested changes.
  7. CFM will staff the event as deemed necessary.  All labor costs will be the responsibility of the space user and/or the representing department.
  8.  UCR CFM management strictly enforces room capacity laws.  Exceeding room capacity may result in event termination.
  9. All events must be officially associated with CHASS and its academic mission.  Unauthorized use of UCR space is subject to denial of use and potential disciplinary action as deemed by the University.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Damage to spaces or lost equipment will be the responsibility of the space user.
  2. Food and beverage is not allowed, with the exception of bottled water, in any space unless approved by CFM staff.  Provisions can be made for food outside.
  3. All equipment in performing spaces will be operated by CFM staff.
  4. Storage of equipment or personal items is not allowed unless approved in advance by CFM management.
  5. Nails, screws, tape, paint, or anything else that may damage facility equipment or spaces are not allowed.  Use of any such items requires prior approval from CFM management.
  6. All public events will require a House Manager and adequate house staff.
  7. All events will require an CFM Event Manager. An Events Supervisor is required after normal business hours.
  8. Use of any weapons (including knives and swords), firearms, open flames, explosions, pyrotechnics and lasers are not allowed in any venue.
  9. Sound, lighting, staging, equipment and video must be discussed with the CFM staff two weeks prior to the event. Changes or additions are at the discretion of the CFM management.
  10. The space user will not obstruct exits, hallways, aisles, or doors.
  11. Event contact person must be on-site during occupation.

Applicant hereby represents and warrants that he has full power to enter into this agreement, that he has obtained such right, title, interest, permission or license sufficient to conduct or perform the event for which this application is made, and that his presentation or performance of the event will not infringe upon any copyright, proprietary or any other right of any third party.  Applicant shall indemnify and hold harmless The Regents of the University of California ("Regents") and anyone deriving his or its interest from, through or under Regents, from and against any claim, suit, action, liability or expense, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of any matter or claim which would constitute a breach of any representation or warranty of the applicant as set forth herein.

Cancellation Policy:
10 business days.  No refund.
